It doesn’t take much time or effort to wash a loosely packed load of clothes with the Lavario, and it can be done almost anywhere. The washer is easy to use and easy to assemble — just attach the handle.
— Brenda Hutchinson, Trailer Life Production Manager
Those who don’t own an RV equipped with a washer can haul their dirty clothes to a coin-operated laundry or wash them by hand. The Lavario clothes washer offers another option. Consisting of a sturdy bucket with a drain and a 5-gallon plastic basket with a handle, the hand-powered washer is simple but effective.
Just load the basket with laundry, top it with the lid and put it in the bucket filled with water and detergent. After pumping the handle 10 times, let the soapy water flow out and rinse with clear water using the same pumping action. Drain and place the wet clothes in the bucket, and push down with the basket to wring out excess water.
The portable washer is 31 inches tall by 19 inches wide when assembled and weighs 10 pounds. An optional RV Accessory Kit ($25) includes 4- and 10-foot hoses, a faucet connector and a shut-off valve.
MSRP: $125
