From its high-gloss exterior to its space expanding four slideouts, the
Elite Class A diesel from Sportscoach brings a new intensity to luxury
motorhomes. Sportscoach builds the Elite on a Freightliner chassis that
employs the Cummins ISC 360-hp engine. This 8.3-liter engine, coupled
with the Allison 3000 MH 6-speed transmission, produces 1,050 lb-ft of
torque. Dual fuel fills and an 8.0-kw diesel generator are now standard.
The Elite’s interior is designed to feel like home, with
luxurious appointments and ceramic-tile flooring from the entrance
through the bath area. There are five interior decor options, including
one motorsports decor and three wood options from which to choose.
When parked at the campsite, a flick of the switch operates the
four slideouts, creating an inviting and spacious interior. Two
slideouts are in the living-kitchen area, and two are in the bedroom. A
unique floorplan is the 40 QIK, with its island kitchen counter and
L-shaped sinks.
The sleeper sofa and love seat are comfortable spots from which
to watch the 32-inch LCD flat-panel TV in the coach area. The Elite
comes standard with a home-theater system and is pre-wired for a
satellite dish.
Equipped with 15-cubic-foot residential stainless-steel
refrigerator, the kitchen has a three-burner range and a
microwave-convection oven. Polished solid-surface countertops with a
double-bowl, stainless-steel sink give the kitchen an elegant look.
A standard residential queen bed or optional king bed offers a
good night’s rest. A 19-inch LCD flat-screen TV is conveniently placed
for easy viewing. In the bath, a one-piece shower surround has a
textured-glass door. A skylight over the shower provides additional
lighting, while the premium faucets and porcelain toilet continue the
theme of luxury.
With a manufacturer’s suggested retail price beginning at
$260,000, Elite is for the experienced RVer who enjoys the finer things
