Spartan Chassis has announced that its innovative mid-engine design is now available on the entry- level diesel chassis, the Spartan NVS. It is powered by a 330-hp engine and has a maximum gross vehicle weight rating of 28,000 pounds. The chassis’ exact weight balance with the engine in the middle offers an exceptionally comfortable ride and
precise handling, while also giving RV body builders new floorplan options, including a garage for toys or an extra room in the rear of the coach.
The latest Spartan chassis includes these features: steep steering-wheel cut angles; simplified chassis maintenance, with the filters and fluid systems mounted at the rear side of the chassis for easy access; new ASC parallelogram rear suspension system that eliminates steering vibration and enhances vehicle stability; Spartan’s new heavy-duty tow hitch, a first-of-its-kind chassis-integrated design that allows towing up to 15,000 pounds.
