Spartan Fined $6 million

Spartan Motors Chassis Inc., which manufactures motorhome chassis for
American Coach, Entegra, Fleetwood, Newmar and Tiffin, has agreed to
plead guilty to “knowingly and willfully making a false statement” on a
government form. Spartan is a military subcontractor providing specialty
chassis and this follows an investigation into kickbacks to government
employees in return for contracts. The company will have to pay a $6
million fine as part of the settlement.
