The annual El Prado VW Show & Shine at Prado Regional Park in Chino, California, is back again on Sunday, June 9, 2019. Gates open at 5 a.m. and show hours are from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. This year’s theme is “The ’80s Are Back!” and a special display area for custom 1980s VWs will be set up. This is in addition to hundreds of VWs in every make and model to check out…plus you can bring yours to show off.
Leading up to the El Prado VW show, the 20th Annual Blackstar Camp-out Volkswagen-only campout runs June 5 through 9. Many of the camping and retro trailers, including home-built ones, are towed by VWs.
Bring your barbecues, kids and the whole family to this all-around-good-fun event. Dogs are welcome but must be friendly and on a leash. Spend the day in the company of neighborly folks, car show awards, raffles, a swap meet, food and vendors. And be prepared to walk around and check out the variety of vehicles and trailers.
Car show participants are $25 per car (or $20 if you bring two canned-food items to donate). Spectators are $25 per car, so load up as many friends and family as you can!
