According to a new study by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, and
Yale University, drivers who are 70 years or older who take classroom
driver-improvement training significantly improved their driving
performance.
The research involved 126 drivers over 70 years old who had sub-optimal driving scores during road tests.
One group underwent eight hours of classroom training, plus two
hours of behind-the-wheel training. The others served as the control
group. Drivers taking the training showed a significant improvement in
driving skills.
