A late-afternoon sun bathed the sandstone bluffs of Garden of the Gods in a warm, golden
glow – and my hiking buddy was getting just a little too photo-crazy. Literally. He stood
at the edge of a broad mound of rock, looking through and focusing his camera in what
looked to me like a very precarious position.
