RVIA Announces Dealership Attendance Correction For Louisville Show

Originally Published in Trailer Life Magazine

In a statement released January 17, the RV Industry Association (RVIA) announced it misreported total dealership attendance figures for the 2011 National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Kentucky.

The RVIA originally reported 1,641 dealerships attended the show November 29 through December 1; the actual number was 1,017.

“After completing our attendance audit for the 2011 National RV Trade Show, an error by the registration company in reporting RV dealership counts was identified and has now been corrected,” RVIA said in the statement.

The error, according to Bill Baker, RVIA’s senior director of communications, was caused by a glitch in how pre-registered dealers were tallied upon arrival at the show.

RVIA said the reporting error was limited to RV dealership company counts and didn’t impact individual attendance counts or overall show attendance.
