Similar to the puck-style mounting options on Ford and Ram truck beds, GM’s factory-installed platform for fifth-wheel and gooseneck hitches debuted this model year. Available on Duramax-equipped 2016 Chevy and GMC heavy-duty pickups with the tow-prep package, the system inspired Curt Manufacturing to add GM to its lineup of OEM-compatible fifth-wheel legs. Once bolted in place, the legs (part 16025) require only a quarter-turn to mount a Curt fifth-wheel hitch on the GM system. The black powder-coated legs can be purchased separately or as a package with Curt Q25, Q24, Q20, A20, A16 and E16 hitches. Maximum towing weight is 25,000 pounds. Curt also offers OEM-compatible fifth-wheel legs to fit the Ford and Ram factory mounting systems.
