Renegade/Kibbi Offers Volvo Chassis

Originally Published in MotorHome Magazine

Volvo automobiles have long enjoyed a reputation for being among the safest cars on the road — so does that make a motorhome built on Volvo’s rugged VNL 64300 chassis equally impervious?

Probably not — but the Volvo underpinnings are renowned for dependability, making the chassis an excellent stablemate in Renegade/Kibbi’s (kibbi.com) growing fleet of Class C motorhomes built on near-bulletproof truck frameworks.

Manufactured in Bristol, Tennessee, in lengths from 36 to 45
feet, the Volvo Renegade boasts a whopping 56,000-pound gross vehicle
weight rating and features a 465-hp front-diesel engine with a
fiberglass-reinforced-plywood (FRP) shell. The newest Renegade (other
coaches are crafted on Freightliner Class 8 Coronado and Columbia
platforms) is available as an SURV (sport utility recreation vehicle) or
with a cargo-carrying “sports deck” floorplan.
