When we talk about adding more horsepower and torque to a Ford Power Stroke engine, whether it’s around the RV park or the racetrack, the name Bully Dog often comes up. The company has made its mark as a leader in the aftermarket performance industry when it comes to injecting additional power into diesel engines. To find out its approach to putting smiles on the faces of the I-want-to-get-up-the-hill-faster club, we visited its facilities located off highway ID-39 in the potato fields of Aberdeen, Idaho.
Our test vehicle was a well-broken-in 2004 Ford F-350 4WD 6.0-liter Power Stroke with 34,391 miles on it. Mike DeFord, Bully Dog’s director of public relations and marketing, suggested we go the full route, with the Rapid Flow Cold Air Induction System, the Rapid Flow Exhaust System and the Triple Dog Power Pup with the Outlook In-Cab Monitor.
