Quad Slide Select 45′

RECENT CHANGES IN HIGHWAY USE LAWS HAVE MADE IT EASIER FOR owners of 45-foot motorhomes to
travel freely throughout the country, and Travel Supreme has added another option for those
looking for maximum-length coaches. The company’s new Quad Slide Select 45-foot coach
features four slideout rooms as standard equipment. Up front, there’s a large streetside
slideout housing the sofa bed and a dinette table, and the opposing slideout, located
curbside, includes a desk/computer workstation and the galley. Out back, the
sideways-oriented 72×80-inch king-size bed moves toward the streetside in a slideout, and
curbside at the foot of the bed is a slideout with a vanity, storage drawers, cabinets and
a TV hutch. Aft of the bed, there’s a wall-to-wall closet plus a wardrobe with a
washer/dryer unit, and forward, the walk-through bath includes a curved-enclosure corner
shower and a large sink plus a separate toilet compartment with a lavatory. The new coach
is based on the Spartan K2 tag-axle chassis with a 44,600-pound gross vehicle weight rating
(gvwr). The standard power plant is the Cummins ISM 500-hp turbocharged diesel rated at
1,550 lb-ft of torque. It’s backed by an Allison 4000 MH six-speed automatic transmission
with two overdrive gears. A standard Jake brake and full drum-type air brakes with WABCO
anti-lock braking provide the stopping power. A Spartan/Granning independent suspension up
front and solid axle out back, plus air bags all around, make up the suspension system.
Polished aluminum wheels and a full-body clearcoat paint treatment with painted graphics
dress the coach exterior. Fiberglass side walls, end caps and roof are standard. High-grade
materials used throughout the interior include marble flooring in the galley and bath,
granite countertops and maple hardwood cabinets in a brown-sugar-glaze finish. Buyers also
have the choice of cherry, walnut, oak, maple or bleached maple woodwork. Flexsteel leather
driver and front-passenger seats with eight-way power adjustments are standard, and an
upgraded leather sofa bed and J-lounge are also available. Entertainment features include a
27-inch JVC flat-screen television in the bedroom, a 24-inch JVC flat-screen television
with VCR in the above-dash cabinet, a 42-inch plasma flat-screen television and
entertainment center at the aft end of the living area with a full home-theater
surround-sound system, a Trac Vision in-motion satellite dish, a 12-disc CD changer, a
Pioneer navigation system and an exterior CD player. Other standard features include a
Girard power awning and slideout awnings, an auto-rewind water hose and powered-rewind
power cord, a keyless entry system and slideout storage-compartment trays. Galley features
include a two-burner electric cooktop, a GE residential-style side-by-side 22.6-cubic-foot
refrigerator, a molded sink and residential-style faucets. The unit’s 50-amp power service
is standard, as are the Onan 12.5-kW Quiet Diesel AC generator on a power-slide-out tray
and dual Heart Interface 2,000-watt inverters. Climate-control features include three
15,000-BTU Penguin air conditioners with heat pumps, a Hydro-Hot furnace system and
dual-pane windows. Fluid capacities for this coach consist of 150 gallons of fuel, 100
gallons fresh water and 60 gallons each of gray and black water. This is an all-electric
coach with no LP-operated appliances, so there’s no LP-gas aboard. The new 45-foot Quad
Slide Select motorhome carries a $390,000 suggested retail price. Travel Supreme Inc.,
