A: Clean and inspect the wiper blades and replace if necessary. Lubricate the wiper arm linkage with a white grease spray lube annually. Do not use the wipers to clear ice from the windshield during freezing conditions; use an ice scraper. Check the spray nozzles, which may be clogged. Use a straight pin to the nozzles. Refill the windshield washer reservoir with special antifreeze solution. Do not put only water into the wash reservoir during cold weather. During storage, or when parked for extended periods of time, use a ‘wiper boot’ to protect wipers from the weather.
