A. That
depends on the type and brand. LP-gas gensets run the cleanest, and the oil stays fresh the
longest. Diesels put a lot of soot into the oil and require more frequent oil changes,
using special diesel oil. Gasoline engines are in between. Consult the owner’s manual or
manufacturer’s Web site for specific recommendations.
