Q. I have heard that fuel mileage improves by not using cruise control on
my motorhome. Is this correct?
A. Some people are very attentive drivers.
They apply the accelerator very smoothly, and they anticipate upcoming hills, traffic
lights, etc. These drivers may get better mileage than cruise control provides. However,
for the bulk of drivers in everyday conditions, cruise will probably do better. You can try
for yourself by measuring mileage both ways.
