Q. I’m getting ready to service my motorhome for storage. How do I decide
whether to use conventional or synthetic chassis grease?
A. Most
conventional greases are formulated using Group II mineral base stocks, and these are
appropriate for typical use. However, applications that may benefit from synthetic grease
include extremely low or high operating temperatures, a wide operating temperature range,
or extended lubrication intervals are desired. If in doubt, choose the synthetic.
