Q & A: Auxiliary Braking Systems

Originally Published in MotorHome Magazine

Q. Do you recommend auxiliary braking systems for dinghy vehicles?

A. Yes. Most motorhome chassis manufacturers call for the use of an
auxiliary braking system when the towed vehicle weighs more than either 1,000 or 1,500
pounds, which includes virtually all dinghy vehicles.
