The Mandalay Luxury Division of Four Winds International Corp., Elkhart,
Indiana, a subsidiary of Jackson Center, Ohio-based Thor Industries
Inc., debuted its new diesel motorhome built exclusively on the R Series
diesel chassis from Workhorse Custom Chassis. The introduction was made
during FMCA’s 72nd International Convention last month in Redmond,
Oregon.
Called the Presidio, the rear-engine Class A will retail for
approximately $180,000-$195,000, typically equipped. The Presidio offers
three different 39-foot floorplans, each with quad slides. All will
include such features as ceramic tile throughout, solid-surface
countertops and optional full-body paint.
Each Presidio model has a 32,000-pound gross vehicle weight
rating (gvwr) and is built on an R Series raised-rail chassis powered by
a 330-hp Cummins engine.
