With their photography studio in tow, a husband-wife duo from Tampa, Florida, is hitting the road to share their work. Photographers Matt Larson and Rebecca Sexton Larson, co-founders of Boxfotos, launched a new adventure earlier this year called “Boxfotos Airstream.” A 23-foot, 2008 International Flying Cloud Airstream will serve as their home away from home for location and travel shoots, their moving gallery and studio, office and classroom.
More than a year ago, the Larsons built their website, Boxfotos.squarespace.com, and announced they would soon be the Boxfotos Airstream gallery and shooting studio. The idea caught enough buzz from friends, collectors and art organizations that they decided to buy the Airstream. The couple plans to teach photography (historical processes) on location, offer portfolio reviews, travel and exhibit their works of art out of the Boxfotos Airstream. Both photographers create works of art using historical photographic processes such as tintype, glass plate, cyanotype, vandyke, silver and salt printing. .
