Five pools feature more than 100 types of day and
night-blooming tropical and hardy waterlilies, lotuses and other aquatic
plants. Stunning in their diversity, the waterlilies vary in color from
creamy white to brilliant pink, and bloom from early June through
mid-October. One of the more unusual plants found at the Waterlily
Display is the giant waterplatter — with enormous six-foot-wide
platter-shaped leaves that grow up to six inches a day.
Longwood Gardens is located in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, 30
