Park Apps Free for National Park Week

Originally Published in Trailer Life Magazine

Any trailer travelers thinking about taking advantage of free entry at national parks across the country have another reason to get out to the parks. The largest maker of national park apps is celebrating National Park Week with a massive app giveaway.

Chimani, LLC announced that they would give away 1 million of their highly-rated apps starting April 18.  The apps are normally priced between $4.99 and $9.99 and are available for the iPhone and Android devices in the iTunes App Store or on Google Play

Most of the apps are designed specifically for each park.  The list includes the Grand Canyon National Park, Yosemite National Park, Zion National Park and Glacier National Park.  The National Parks app is also included and was designed to be “a virtual passport tool for all the National Park Service units.”

The apps deliver hiking information, points of interest, tour schedules, travel and lodging information and breaking news alerts.

Follow the links above to download the apps yourself or search “Chimani” in your favorite app store.
