Last year, Coleman launched a free application called Classic Camping Cookbook & Meal Planner, available through iTunes. The application is downloaded to your iPhone and eliminates the need for cookbooks or shopping lists, saving you precious space on the shelves. Users can create a menu for the duration of the vacation by plugging in the number of days and how many people to feed, all while selecting each meal of the day and side dishes or desserts.
Picky eater? The application allows users to create meal options using specific foods – the day’s catch from the lake or the only thing the little ones want to eat – sure to satisfy everyone. Meal plans also include a composite list of the ingredients for the meals chosen, utensils needed, and food prep items such as tin foil, for the duration of the trip. The list also includes a digital checkbox and a helpful tool for pre-trip grocery shopping.
