A federal court has thrown out the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) ruling that would have required all vehicles built after November 2003 to have tire-pressure monitors. This followed several lawsuits. It is expected that a rewritten law will reinstate the monitoring regulation at a later date.
