The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is investigating a potential problem with Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups with automatic transmissions.
According to NHTSA, there have been nine reports of them slipping out of Park into Reverse with the engine running, which has resulted in six crashes.
A recall may result from the investigation. In the meantime, drivers should be sure that when the vehicle is in Park, the parking brake is set securely.
