Nissan Pathfinder Armada Debuts
Nissan will have its official introduction of the Pathfinder Armada SUV at the New York Auto Show in April. Sharing design features and components with the recently introduced Titan pickup, the Pathfinder Armada will be powered by a 300-hp 5.6-liter DOHC V-8. The Armada is expected to sail into dealerships next fall.

Crown Vic Investigated for Wheel Cracks
The National Highway Traffics Safety Administration (NHTSA) is investigating reports of wheel cracks on Ford’s large rear-drive cars to determine if it warrants a full recall. The 2003 model Crown Victoria and Mercury Grand Marquis are the subjects of what NHTSA calls “multiple failures” of the steel wheels. The problem can lead to the loss of vehicle control, but no accidents have been reported as a result.

Private Campground Usage and Revenue Up
KOA Kampgrounds throughout North America reported the largest growth in three years in camper nights and revenues during 2002. “It’s been a very good year for KOA,” said KOA President and CEO Jim Rogers. “Our early research told us that Americans would be seeking safe, family-oriented trips…, and that is exactly what they did.”
