Ford Admits to Head Gasket Problems

Ford spokesman Todd Nissen recently made public that the company is trying to remedy a defect that is the source of oil leaks from certain 5.4-liter V-8 engines, which were used primarily in 1999 F-series pickups. The models affected also include certain Expeditions, Econoline vans and Lincoln Navigators, all of which are popular among trailerists. Nissen stated that there is an oil-seepage problem, but that it does not affect every engine. Owners should contact their dealer for further information or questions.
