Germany’s BASF Catalysts’ PremAir is said to be the first commercial product that eliminates smog-forming ground-level ozone from the air. When applied to the radiator, PremAir converts ozone to oxygen as air passes over the coated surfaces.
PremAir is claimed to eliminate up to 80 percent of the ozone passing over it. Since its introduction, more than three million vehicles have been equipped with PremAir worldwide.
