The newest line of Class C motorhomes from Renegade RV has earned “Certified Green Silver” status from TRA Certification.
The new Villagio was examined by TRA Certification in several categories, including resource efficiency, energy efficiency, water efficiency, indoor air quality and operation and maintenance, and offers many eco-friendly features. TRA reported that very little wood is used in the construction of these units, while any 2-by-2′s used are certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative. The Villagio also includes interior and exterior LED lighting as well as significant air sealing. Low-flow fixtures increase water conservation, which means fewer fill-ups along the way.
Indoor air quality is addressed as the hard flooring, leather upholstery and interior walls are either GreenGuard certified or non-emitting. The spare use of carpeting also improves indoor air quality as contaminants cannot be trapped within the fibers beneath, while the bedding contains zero VOCs.
Renegade RV, based in Bristol, Ind., and part of Kibbi LLC, offers the 26-foot Villagio in two floorplans: the 24RBS features a rear corner bed and 9-foot slideout containing a jackknife sofa and wardrobe/pantry; the 25TBS has rear twin beads that convert into a king and a slide containing a sofa. Additional floorplans are being developed by the Villagio’s design team.
Built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis and powered by a 3.0-liter turbo diesel engine, the Villagio combines agility with performance and utilizes Adaptive ESP, an advanced system engineered to maintain stability and vehicle control by adjusting to road conditions. The company said customers should expect to get 17-20 miles per gallon.
The Villagio features stainless steel accents, plush bonded leather upholstery and Euro-style cabinetry, along with functional design. With the 9-foot slideout and swivel captains chairs, there’s plenty of lounging space; the removable pedestal table provided extra flexibility.
The galley includes a stainless steel sink, microwave and refrigerator, while the bathroom offers a full sized shower and modern vessel bowl sink. Two interior and exterior colors – Twilight and Café – are available.
“The Villagio is a great motorhome for young families or retired couples that want a smaller, more maneuverable coach without giving up high-end amenities,” said Stacey Miller, Sprinter project manager.
The Villagio’s MSRP will range from $120,000 to $140,000. To find out more about the Villagio and Renegade’s other products, visit www.renegaderv.com.
