As part of its ongoing Discover Our Shared Heritage series of travel itineraries,
the National Park Service offers a new online travel itinerary that explores the lives and
contributions of all 43 American presidents.
The American Presidents Travel Itinerary
features the White House and more than 70 other sites nationwide that are listed in the
National Register of Historic Places. Many of the sites are also part of the National Park
System.
The new itinerary offers:
- Descriptions and significance of each historic site
- Information and maps for how to visit
- Contemporary and historic photographs
- A “Learn More” section that includes links to additional information and a
bibliography on the presidency and tourism Web sites to help with trip planning
The
American Presidents itinerary is the 47th in the ongoing series. You can access the
itinerary online at the American
Presidents Itinerary.
All of the itineraries in the series can be found on the NPS
Web site at NPS Travel Itinerary
Series.
