There are more than 4,300 national forest campgrounds across the United
States. Some are popular and well-known, but many are obscure gems that
are seldom visited. The Coleman National Forest Campground &
Recreation Directory lists every national forest campground nationwide.
This 621-page guide includes driving directions, number
of sites, fees, RV-length limits, normal open dates, campground
elevation, activities and points of interest for each of the 4,300
campgrounds. Color maps show national forest locations within a state,
and a summary is given for each forest followed by listings of the
campgrounds. Driving directions from the nearest town are also provided.
Facility symbols indicate whether a campground is rustic,
semi-developed or developed. Other symbols indicate if you can reserve a
campsite, if there is a campground host and which of the facilities are
handicapped accessible. Suggested price: $19.95.
