Celebrating the company’s 50th year in 2012, KOA added 18 new campground locations to the already widespread network of 489 campgrounds. KOA CEO Jim Rogers explains that the company saw a growing camping trend throughout the country, making the campground additions to its network timely. As of press time, 17 new campground locations have been revealed with the final new campground location still under wraps, but it was speculated that the new campground will be placed somewhere in the southeastern United States.
