The U.S. Senate, recognizing the RV industry’s Centennial this year, has officially declared June “RV Centennial Celebration Month.”
Also, the U.S. House of Representatives adopted a resolution May 26
“recognizing and honoring the 100 years of enjoyment of RVs in the
United States.” The resolution passed by a unanimous voice vote. The
Senate’s resolution was adopted on May 14.
The House resolution, sponsored by Rep. Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.), had
54 additional co-sponsors. The Senate resolution was introduced by
Senator Evan Bayh of Indiana, and was also championed by bipartisan
co-sponsors from key RV-producing states, including Senators Richard
Lugar of Indiana, Mike Crapo of Idaho, Jeff Merkley of Oregon, Ron Wyden
of Oregon, Charles Schumer of New York and George Voinovich of Ohio.
