Inergy Automotive Systems has announced a new fuel system for diesel
engines that it claims can meet the most stringent worldwide diesel
emissions standards. Two technologies have been integrated: INSAS, an
intelligent additive storage and distribution solution for particulate
filters, and DINOX, a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) exhaust
after-treatment system.
Systems such as these may allow cleaner, more efficient diesel engines in the near future.
