Hotel Plans a “Caravan Park Penthouse”

The “world’s first penthouse caravan park” will open at the end of the year at the Grand
Daddy Hotel in Cape Town, South Africa. Featuring seven vintage models – which had to be
hoisted by crane onto the roof of the four-story building – the hotel’s penthouse will also
invite guests to enjoy a rooftop bar, view a film in an outside cinema or stay the night in
a customized, themed Airstream. Each two-bed unit is decorated by local artists and themes
include “the Ballad of John and Yoko” and Goldilocks and the Three Bears – complete with a
bunk bed for baby bear.
