largest natural spring, Mammoth Spring gushes at an average rate of nine
million gallons an hour, creating a 10-acre lake perfect for rafting
and trout fishing.

Designated a National Natural Landmark, Mammoth Spring State Park —
located at the big spring — provides a spot for visitors to stretch
their legs along interpretive trails, explore the restored 1886 Frisco
Railroad Depot, pop into the information center to view exhibits on the
region’s rich history, and pay a visit to the 1925 hydroelectric plant.

For a restful moment, escape the noises of the asphalt ribbon,
and enjoy a picnic under the huge oak trees by the waters of Spring
Lake.
