Portable, storable solar power is now an option for motorhome owners. Anywhere Solar, based in San Diego, Calif., recently announced its latest solar module charging station, called Solar-on-the-Go. Compact and lightweight (less than 10 pounds), the 50-watt, 12-volt DC system is designed to recharge coach, engine or standalone batteries. The portable solar kit features shatterproof, glass-free panels, and the kit is packed in a bag for easy storage.
The Solar-on-the-Go kit includes four 24-by-6-inch modular panels, one charge controller, a collapsible, multi-position stand with two bracing rods, a 16-foot cable with alligator clips for easy connection to batteries and a durable carry bag. The Solar-on-the-Go kit is $299 and available through Anywhere Solar’s eBay Store.
