Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp. will show off its new FRont Engine
Diesel (FRED) motorhome chassis at the 43rd Annual RVIA Trade Show in
Louisville, Kentucky, this week, November 29 through December 1.
With a 26,000-pound gross vehicle weight rating (gvwr) and a
five-speed Allison automatic transmission, FRED is powered by a 300-hp
Cummins 5.9L ISB diesel engine with 600 lb-ft of torque. Other amenities
of the front-engine diesel motorhome chassis include ABS, disc brakes,
Hendrickson suspension and more.
