In addition to its six floorplans built on various Ford chassis, Four
Winds International has added 33- and 34-foot floorplans to its Fun
Mover Sport Recreational Vehicle (SURV) lineup. The two new offerings
are built on Chevy C5500 Kodiak medium-duty cutaway chassis, with a
19,500-pound gross vehicle weight rating (gvwr).
Four Winds International, the Elkhart, Indiana-based subsidiary
of Thor Industries Inc., builds the new Chevy gas-powered floorplans
with 8×10-foot cargo areas equipped with nonskid diamond-plate surfaces,
laminate overhead cabinets and Pro-Track tie-down systems. Two standard
exterior graphics packages are available, and both models have
factory-installed 10,000-pound hitches. The cargo area is separated from
the living area by a wall with a sealed door. The living area features
residential-style linoleum, a convection microwave with a gas rangetop
and a double-door refrigerator.
The 33-foot Fun Mover retails from $103,400; the 34-footer from
$117,500. A diesel-engine option is available for an additional
$15,000.
