The Detroit News reports that several sources have confirmed that Ford is doing a major revision of its products, including pickup trucks.
One of the rumored models is said to be a pickup built on a
modified F-150 chassis, but it is 10 percent smaller and lighter than
the existing model. The new truck is supposed to include unique new
storage areas and new styling. For better mileage, Ford’s new EcoBoost
six-cylinder engine will be offered, and a V-8 option may be offered.
Production will begin in approximately two years.
