EnduraMax 37′

Not content with the introduction of its new “Track & Trail” line of towable toy
haulers, Gulf Stream Coach has applied the SURV (Sport Utility Recreational Vehicle)
concept to the single slide Endura model Class C — resulting in the EnduraMax, an
adventure-oriented motorhome with an 88-square-foot garage big enough to carry an
assortment of two- and four-wheeled sport machines. Utilizing the proven Chevrolet Kodiak
medium-duty truck cab and chassis stretched 16 inches, the Gulf Stream’s prime objective
was to build a motorhome comfortable with hauling a family, toys and gear to favorite
outdoor destinations. Graced with a chassis that can handle 19,500 pounds (gvwr), the coach
sports a 10,000-pound hitch receiver, an 80-gallon fuel tank, a 325-hp Vortec gas engine
(or optional Duramax diesel for another $20,293), and enough room to transport race karts,
motorcycles or your hot-air balloon and basket to almost any venue not requiring
four-wheel-drive access … although the chassis is also produced in a 4×4 configuration.
The Max’s signature 1,600-pound-capacity electric rear lift replaces a conventional drop
ramp, allowing easy and lone handling of large machines without the need to drive or winch
into the garage. Behind the lift, an automatic electric roll-up security door protects the
garage contents. Unlike many SURVs with a divided garage-and-cabin floorplan, the EnduraMax
“toy crib” allows cabin access through an insulated metal door. The interior is anchored by
a large streetside slide that houses a queen sofa bed and a spacious wardrobe forward of
the nicely appointed bath (with tub for soaking those tired muscles after a day of play).
With only 15 feet of living space between the garage bulkhead and the large cabover bunk,
the need for an efficient, yet compact, full-feature floorplan is critical. For complete
