Dynamax Corp. has introduced a double-slideout, 42-foot floorplan to its 2004 Grand Sport
Columbia Class C motorhome line built on a Freightliner Columbia midsize diesel-truck
chassis. The Columbia, available in three 40- to 45-foot floorplans, is powered by a 450-hp
Mercedes-Benz 12.8-liter MBE40000-450 engine and an Allison HD-4060 P automatic, six-speed,
dash-mounted pushbutton shift controller. A 14-foot driver-side superslide in the 42-foot
floorplan, which accommodates a full sofa and dinette, is the first in the Columbia line.
With popular options, the Columbia retails for $347,000.
