The Department of Energy (DOE) reports that fuel prices may dip somewhat
before the Memorial Day weekend. However, they still will be above last
year’s levels.
The DOE’s Energy Information Administration said that though
prices may drop this month from a current average of $2.24 cents a
gallon, a modest drop would still put prices about 20 percent above May
levels of last year.
