California RV Park Evacuated Amid Tsunami Warning

Originally Published in MotorHome Magazine

KSBY News in Pismo Beach, Calif., is reporting that Pismo Coast Village RV Park is among areas under an advised evacuation because of the tsunami warning Friday morning.

KSBY‘s news crew on the scene at the park reported that all campers staying at the park have been evacuated. Park security officials say that some of the campers left
their RVs behind when they evacuated. No one else is being allowed inside the
park because of safety concerns.

The
tsunami warning came after a powerful 8.9 temblor in Japan triggered a tsunami along Japan’s northern coast, causing mass casualties.

Tsunami
warnings have been issued for U.S. West Coast states.
