Many RV manufacturers boast of top-notch construction, fit-and-finish and their trailers’ all-weather capabilities. So, I was leery when the literature for the Bigfoot 25B 25FBS did just that. However, after spending some time in the travel trailer, the lasting impression was “Wow! What top-notch construction, fit-and-finish and all-weather capabilities!”
Bigfoot starts with two-piece fiberglass construction, fully enclosing the underside of the trailer and eliminating potential drafty areas.
The must-have option on the 25B is the enclosed A-frame fiberglass storage box, which not only gives you some extra room for your gear, but also improves aesthetics and garners some attention at the campground.
Overall, the look of the trailer’s interior — from the appliances to the deep, rich hues in the upholstery and window treatments — is one of residential elegance.
The well-laid-out galley is situated across from the (rear) entry. A microwave, an oven and a three-burner stove handle most of the cooking duties.
The convertible dinette sits on a raised platform streetside, and is roomy enough for four diners. Across from the dinette is the jackknife sofa.
The rear bed was quite comfortable, and we appreciated the walk-around space that made it easy to make the bed each morning. A mirrored wardrobe, several drawers and a spacious cabinet all surround the bed, which lifts up for even more storage. A second, optional, entry door sits curbside next to the bed.
An optional LCD TV mounted on a swivel arm offers electronic entertainment during the day in the living-room area, and can be positioned to face the bed when the sun goes down.
When nature calls, the bathroom at the rear of the trailer offers plenty of room to get the job done. A large rear window allows ample light to shine in.
Indeed, there are less-expensive trailers available that may deliver as much livability as the Bigfoot 25B. However, one would be hard-pressed to find a trailer with a higher level of construction quality coupled with all-weather comfort and convenience.
