Big Rigs Best Bets 10th Edition Now Available

Originally Published in MotorHome Magazine

The 472-page booklet takes the guesswork out of deciding where RVers can take their big rigs by providing information on 1,150 RV parks in 49 states and seven Canadian provinces. It also contains information on 468 paved and maneuverable fuel stops which the author has personally used or observed.

A special section on the Alaska Highway begins on Page 32 of the guide and the state of Alaska section begins on Page 42, both new this year.

“When we began our publication 10 years ago,” Ken Hamill writes, “our goal was to bring to the RV marketplace a credible resource from an RVer’s point of view. We have not deviated from that objective. Because we have personally visited every park, you will have specific site numbers to choose from when making your reservation or at check-in. We have also provided the various lengths for the preferred spaces.”

In particular, he cites:

1. No frustrating U-turns on your way to these 1,150 parks because of our detailed dead on directions and physical addresses for GPS users.

2. Wi-Fi is almost as important as a sewer hook-up and the vast majority of the parks offer this amenity.

3. Our handy Fuel Stop Section and Notable Restaurant Tips Section will further enhance your RV travels.

4. You will find a blend of parks — upscale resorts, overnight stays along the interstate, destination parks and suitable public parks.

The user-friendly, spiral-bound guide lies flat and features quality paper and large print. The guide costs $24.95 plus $5 for shipping and handling.

Hamill also has released the 192-page “Travel and Maintenance Journal” for RVers to record their RV park experiences and rig maintenance in detail. The cover price is $20 with free shipping and handling.
