Barth Brand Reappears Under New Ownership

Originally Published in MotorHome Magazine

The Barth brand of high-end motorhomes, dormant for five years, is scheduled to return to
production under new ownership early this year. The new owner is Keith Leatherman, a
general construction contractor in Albion, Indiana, which is about 25 miles from Milford,
where coaches were built from 1968 to 1995 by Barth Inc. Plans are to custom-build most
Barth units and sell them to retail buyers, according to Wayne Fox, general manager of
Barth Custom Coach Inc. The company hopes to work with a small number of dealers. High-end Barth coaches were known for their aluminum skins and bus profiles, which Fox said the new company will continue. Retail prices will range from $179,000 for a 30-foot gas-powered LS model to $340,000 for a 40-foot Premier diesel.
