All the Stuff You Need to Know About RVing

Originally Published in MotorHome Magazine

According to the authors, this is a non-technical “technical” manual — i.e., it’s intended
to present hands-on information in an easy-to-read format. As such, it tends to start at
the beginning of a subject and work its way through. For veteran RVers, some of it might
seem a bit rudimentary — but if you stick with it, you’ll find a lot of worthwhile
material. Rather than attempt to create a story line, the authors offer up information in
bullet-point style.

Each separate thought is duly numbered, and by the time you finish,
you’ll have read through 399 tips for safe, reliable motorhoming. Interspersed among these,
however, are other bits and pieces, and even whole chapters; the overview on satellite
reception, television access and Wi-Fi, for example, isn’t even numbered — nor is the
section dedicated to an understanding of weight. Together, there are more than 500 ideas,
hints and suggestions for using your coach more efficiently — from basic driving technique
to onboard living, boondocking and general maintenance.
