Ford’s latest addition to the best-selling F-150 lineup is the new Tremor sport truck for the 2014 model year. The Tremor will be powered by a potent twin-turbocharged, 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 rated at 365 horsepower and known for excellent fuel economy. Tremor comes with the F-150’s regular cab on a 126-inch wheelbase and has a short bed. Both rear- and four-wheel-drive versions will be available. Although no tow rating has been announced, the Tremor will come with a 4.10:1 rear axle ratio and an electronically controlled locking rear differential, so it should be good for towing conventional trailers and hauling out boats.
Tremor models will have distinct badges and wheels, plus an FX appearance package, a console-mounted floor shift, and special leather bucket seats. Other features include standard HID headlamps, 20-inch black rims, and MyFord Touch and SYNC electronics. Prices haven’t been released yet. Tremor special editions will be on sale at Ford dealers later this year.
