If you like motorcycles and pickup trucks, you’ll probably love the new, limited edition Harley-Davidson F-150 pickup. Ford and Harley-Davidson have produced 10 F-150 models, plus six Super Duty F-250 and F-350 models, and in 2009 a Harley-Davidson F-450 truck. Since the companies teamed up back in 1999, Ford has sold more than 70,000 Harley-Davidson F-Series trucks.
Special features include snakeskin leather interior accents and innovative new graphics. Ford offers white paint for the first time with White Platinum Tri-Coat, or choose Tuxedo Black. Inside, Ford continues the theme with integrated snakeskin leather inserts, snakeskin leather seats and even aluminum scuff plates with a snakeskin-type texture. Redesigned standard 22-inch machined-aluminum wheels with painted accents and Harley logos further set off the model from other F-150s.
Standard features include a power moonroof, rear-view camera, second-row heated seats, remote-start, 120-volt power inverter, and power-adjustable performance pedals. Additionally, the Harley-Davidson F-150 comes equipped with voice-activated Navigation, including voice-recognition destination entry, climate control and SiriusXM Satellite Radio.
For 2012 the Harley F-150 is available only in Super Crew configuration with the 5.5 foot Styleside bed. Power comes from a potent 6.2-liter V-8 with 411 horsepower and 434 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed automatic transmissions is standard, with Tow/Haul mode. Ford’s SelectShift Automatic programming allows full shifting control. Rear wheel drive is standard, 4WD is available. Maximum trailer towing rating is 7,500 pounds.
