10-Minute Tech: Hitch Bars Out of Way

Originally Published in Trailer Life Magazine

I came up with an easy way to store EAZ-Lift bars up and out of the way. And it keeps the grease off of your pickup’s bed as well. All you need is four pieces of small chain, approximately 12 inches long, and eight S-hooks — four S-hooks to hook to the top of the I-beam and the other four to adjust the height. You can now lock the spring bars to the trailer A-frame using the safety chains, and the bars are safe and out of the way. Sheet-metal screws can be used instead of the S-hooks for A-frames that are made of boxed metal.
